Using the word of mouth, you do not have to convince a lot of people to buy your product. All you need to do is, convince a person whose words are taken for guaranteed by a group of people and convince that person that your product is good. Stay assured, that person will promote your product for you and he will do it free of cost. And when he tells 20 people about your product and 5 of them ends up buying it, those 5 will again spread the virtue of your company for you.

Cold calling has become an inseparable part of all the business companies. But the fact is, it can be a daunting task for the people who actually do it. Personally you might hate telemarketing but at the end of the day, you need to boost up your sales. If they curse you, just apologize and hang up without creating any trouble. Always talk with a smile in your face and be friendly.
Do not cal at the wrong time. People hate when they receive cold calls while having dinner with the family or many be on the Saturday night. Never call them in those times. It’s better to call them in the morning, when they are in a good mood and at night after they are done with their dinner.
Before you go on calls, make sure that you have the complete product knowledge and you are prepared to ask any question asked by your customer. You can lose a potential customer if you cannot provide them with the knowledge that they are willing to know.
Sometimes it takes a few calls to convince a customer and you should never lose your cool. Keep all the information saved so that you can pick right from where you left and build the bridge that would help you get a sale out of that customer.
